Musharraf Resigned

The happiest news of yesterday, August 18, 2008, was that Musharraf resigned. I still don't know what to make of the whole 'resignation' thing, but i know that i am extremely happy he is not the President of Pakistan anymore. Pakistan is free from the clutches of a dictator. Dictatorship is out and democracy has reigned, once again. It's a time to celebrate and rejoice.

Long live democracy! Long Live Pakistan!

Everybody is happy about this but we should be very carefull as the new democarets especially zardari are not in the favour of country.

They just want their own benefits as history proves.

But we should be optimistic and May Allah give hadayat to our leaders and Awam as well. Ameen

Best,
K.

Yes i completely understand that Musharraf's departure is not the end of all our problems. I also am very suspicious of Zardari. That is why i have mentioned in another post that being against Musharraf does not necessarily mean support of Zardari.

And you are absolutely right that everybody is after their own benefits. I am not so sure how can we remain protected from this. The only way i see is through Dua. May Allah protect our country and keep it safe.

PS: Self accountability is also important. We need to do this as well as mend our ways and correct our actions.
