Tumharay Bas Mai Agar Ho

The other day I was listening to a piece of music and one verse really moved me. Thought better share that as well:

Tumharay bas mai agar ho
To bhol jao humain
Tumhain bhulanay mai shayad
Humain zamana lagay

:-)

Please Don't Bother!

One thing is really funny. People kick you out of their lives, deliberately walk out or create conditions that you are forced against your wishes to leave. And then they want to know how you are doing.

A message to such people is, “Please don’t bother. You did what you had to do, so now go away and stay happy.”

Mai Ban Panatang Urr Jaon

Mai ban panatang urr jaon
Kisi kay bhi hath na aon

Taroo kay des chali jaon
Phir lot ker kabhi na aon

Ye jahan to hai bara zalim
Bachoo is say aur chup jaon

Detay hain log sab dhoka
Logo say dil ko mai bachaon

Rahay rishta na koi taluq
Sab choor choor chali jaon

PS: I guess this is too much to ask. Seems like a 'death' wish. Let's see if i can get this fulfilled in my 'life'. ;-)

Ye Mera Dewanapan Hai :-)

I didn't have much to write about so thought I should share this lovely song. If any of you can get their hands on it, please do listen as it is highly recommended. It is a song by Mukesh from the filem Yahudi.

I love it for the music as well as lyrics. Read on and let me know what you think:

Dil Se Tujhko Be’dili Hai
Mujhko Hai Dil Ka Ghuroor
Tu Ye Mane Ya Na Mane
Log Mane ge Zaroor

Ye Mera Dewanapan Hai
Ya Mohabbat Ka Suroor
Tu Na Pehchane To Hai Ye
Teri Nazron Ka Kusoor

Ye Mera Dewanapan Hai

Dil Ko Teri Hi Tamanna
Dil Ko Hai Tujh Se Hi Pyar
Chahe Tu Aaye Na Aaye
Hum Karenge Intezar

Ye Mera Dewanapan Hai

Aisay Verane Me Ik Din
Ghut Ke Mar Jayenge Hum
Jitna Ji Chahe Pukaro
Phir Nahin Aayenge Hum

Ye Mera Dewanapan Hai

Good Times are for Sharing & so are Bad Times

I shared so many of my good times with this person. All of a sudden I shared some really bad ones as well. And the intensity was high. I guess that special person in my life must have been devastated by all this. Well I apologize. But at the same time I want to tell that I myself was devastated too. And angry at all the situations around me.

I know I can't fight or question Allah’s will, but being human, I was maybe a bit irritated at the fact that things are not going my way. I am still very hopeful from Allah's side (truly disappointed from human’s side though). I know something better will definitely happen. I will get what I want in the end, by hook or by crook. May Allah be always by my side and help me in my endeavors. Ameen. I acknowledge his Supreme power from my heart and I know that He will not forget me in my times of despair.

Bara Dari

The next beautiful building that caught my attention was the Bara Dari, standing elegantly amidst the green pastures. The contrast of the Bara Dari’s white with the green was simply amazing. The garden was clean and well maintained. Lots of roses were planted there as well (I couldn’t reach neither the Bara Dari nor the roses as the garden was enclosed within four walls of barbed wire.). I could, however, see it from afar and take a picture. And that is what I did.

Allama Iqbal's Mausoleum

The first thing I recognized after going through the door was the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal. The building was very small and simple. But the elegance shone through the simplicity of it. Some guards were guarding the door, bringing out the grandeur of the mausoleum.

We all went inside, after taking off the shoes outside, to say ‘fatiha’. It was indeed a great experience, standing at the tomb of our great poet, Iqbal.

PS: When we came out, luckily we found our shoes intact, otherwise those unguarded pairs could have been stolen.

Big Historical Door in a Narrow Street

…..and so the story of the Lahore trip continues.

From Daata Darbaar we headed towards Badshahi mosque in yet another rickshaw brigade. The journey was as jolty as could be but since the distance was short, it didn’t matter much. When the rickshaw driver told me that we were at the destination, I didn’t quite believe it. The reason was that we were standing in a narrow street and all the signs that I could see of anything historical was one big door. I was relieved when I was told that I would definitely see something splendid once I crossed the door.

Trusting the rickshaw driver and my own instincts I entered that big door. And I was glad that I did as I was not disappointed at all.

Lost my All-Positive Glasses

I just lost my all-positive glasses that i refered to in a previous post of mine (Two Paths; Choose Wisely). Again in need of some help in trying to retrieve those and put those back in place.

Raaz aur Raazdaan

Raaz Bhi Wohi
Raazdan Bhi Wohi

Raaz Raha Barqarar
Per, Raazdaan Ab Koi Nahee

Letting Go

Letting go isn't easy. Not easy at all. Rather it is damn difficult. But i guess i have to. Especially when i tried hard clinging to it and it still managed to slip away. But what can i do, i can't do it. Can sombody help? :'(

Random Thought

Ooo I am posting so much on this blog and in so little time that i am impressing myself. ;-) hehe I hope to continue with the postings even if i cannot maintain this speed.

Cheers!

First Rickshaw Ride of the Trip

After resting for a while and having a late breakfast we set out towards our next stop; “Daata Darbaar”. We were five in total, so it was impossible for us to squeeze into a single rickshaw. We knew the solution so we took two and started our journey. Since it was a rickshaw ride, it was bumpy even if the roads were not bumpy. Mix this with actual bumpy roads and you can imagine what it would have been like. Just like traveling in a blender, getting all shaken up. And the noise was ear-piercing. To talk to each other we had to repeatedly scream into each others ears. That was hard on our throats so we stopped after a while and completed the rest of the journey in ‘silence’.

I was impressed by the coordination of the two drivers as they reached the destination together. This saved us the hassle of waiting or looking for others.

Guest House Garden

The garden of the guest house was not full of flowers. It had only but a few roses. But the good thing was that it was clean. As addicted as i am to taking pictures of flowers, i couldn't resist myself from taking a picture of those guest house garden lonely flowers as well. They looked cool so i 'shot' those.

Guest House Garden Flowers

I was happy to see that the guest house people were cleanliness conscious as they put a dustbin in the garden as well. I hope the people will let it remain clean.

Booking Blues

We reached the WAPDA guest house after traveling for about 20 minutes. Little did we know that a ‘juicy’ episode awaited us there.

When we got there and went to the reception to get our room keys, a person bluntly said to us that the booking was cancelled. All five of us were baffled. We inquired why that was done so when the booking was from Friday till Sunday and was even confirmed. That gentleman said that since the booking started on Friday and we failed to arrive on that day, the booking was cancelled. We refused to buy that and insisted that he should find a solution.

We were asked to sit while he talked to some other guy, apparently a senior to him, on the phone. When the call ended in a couple of minutes the issue was resolved and soon we were following that same gentleman towards our newly assigned room. Thank God the booking blues were over quickly!
