Signatures

Signatures are very important. Everyone should have some or at least one. After all, one needs to sign the timesheets and leave requests. Then there is the “Peeluu” register, the “Key out” register and the Item Requisition Form. I for one have to sign the Document Change Requests, Interview Evaluation Forms and Performance Appraisal Forms in addition.

What if there comes a “Gate Out Pass” register? What would one do if one does not have a signature? A thumb impression would not do. Such situations only call for signatures.

What is a signature by the way? According to me signatures are doodles that uniquely identify people at least in their own relevant documents. Signatures may help you to represent yourself uniquely. But at the same time someone else can also easily forge and ‘represent’ you. So if is so unsafe why use it? It has been the way of our ancestors, so I guess we have to follow.
