We reached the WAPDA guest house after traveling for about 20 minutes. Little did we know that a ‘juicy’ episode awaited us there.
When we got there and went to the reception to get our room keys, a person bluntly said to us that the booking was cancelled. All five of us were baffled. We inquired why that was done so when the booking was from Friday till Sunday and was even confirmed. That gentleman said that since the booking started on Friday and we failed to arrive on that day, the booking was cancelled. We refused to buy that and insisted that he should find a solution.
We were asked to sit while he talked to some other guy, apparently a senior to him, on the phone. When the call ended in a couple of minutes the issue was resolved and soon we were following that same gentleman towards our newly assigned room. Thank God the booking blues were over quickly!
