Have you ever wondered why are there indexes and glossaries; tags and bookmarks; references and pointers? I think they are there so that we can go back to the good (marked) stuff again and again. These “markers” are little helpers that show us the way when we forget the path.

These are shortcuts for our weak memory. We humans are impatient by default and we need these direct paths to the milky way of knowledge.
Humans are weak creatures and need help all the time. These indexes are tiny helping hands too.
