It's been almost 3 hours since the Marriott hotel in Islamabad, Pakistan is ablaze due to an explosion and the fire is still not under control. Vicious flames are eating up the building. It is not known how many human lives are stuck in the building behind the huge fiery columns. May Allah have mercy upon them!
One of the reasons that the fire is still uncontrolled is the inability of the fire trucks to throw water at it with full pressure. The pressure was so low at the beginning that it was not even reaching the 1st floor in the beginning but now the situation has improved a bit. It is a shame that we lose buildings to fire just because our fire fighting equipment is incapable of handling such situations. It is even more shameful and sad to lose precious lives in such incidents just because of lack of water pressure.
Our authorities should do either of the following. Equip our fire fighting teams with up to date gear to enable them to handle serious 'fire' situations, especially in multi-storey buildings. Or forbid construction of buildings that have any more floors than the 'ground floor'.

Monazza, that was really a sad incident happened.
As far as other agnecies or enemies involvement, our country' security and leadership is also involved in this incident. If our leaders are so concerned to our nation and security is fool proof then enemies wouldn't have such chances to do such big things in front of everyone.
May Allah bless the ones lost in this incident and give Shifa-e-Ajila-o-Kamila to the injured. Ameen
I didn't like the idea of Zardari being president of our country and that's why as a protest i don't like to speak about or do analysis on current govt. or political situation in our country. Every sensible person does know that a stupid act is in play by the politicians and nobody is raising any voice thogh Jiale are happy to have Zardari as president. These Jiale are actual people pissed by Mehngai and not the PPP team itself.
I'm always very much in favour of Inqalaab and see myself Inqalabi and i seem the current situation from where Inqalaab will initiate.
May Allah bless us with a good leadership and give hadayah to our leaders and Ummat-e-Muslimah. Ameen.
Nobody does care about the departments and their capability to cope with such situations. Of course exceptions are always there.
Even nobody has time to think about your 2 point solution what a pity.
Yes it was sad incident indeed.
When the government is corrupt and incapable, then this trickles down to the following departments as well. Result is nothing less than devastation.
Zardari is not the president of my choice either. PPP could have nominated somebody better.
Inqilaab just might get initiated in this era, but then i am not too sure. We have a reputation of being a 'quiet' nation. We are famous for bearing it all and not uttering a word in opposition. There is a limit to everybody's patience. Let's see when our patience threshold gets breached.
I always do think and believe that we the people of Pakistan are doing something wrong, that is why such leaders are bestowed upon us. May Allah give us all the strength, courage & wisdom to clean up our acts and to mend our ways. Maybe then we would be blessed with true and sincere leadership.
