Flooded News Feed

The activity on my Facebook News Feed suddenly increased by leaps and bounds a couple of days ago. I did not know what was going on. And then i realized that my youngest cousin (17 years younger) had joined in. And just as new kids are with their enthusiasm and curiosity, she seemed to have installed practically all the quizzes and gift sending applications available on Facebook. When i go to her profile, it is difficult to find my way through those quizzes & applications to the wall to write a few words. But i successfully stumble all the way to the wall and back. It's not bad to have your news feed flooded. Just observing till when will all this gushing enthusiasm last. ;-)

'Text' Badminton

Today i was too busy with work, training sessions and meetings. Didn't have much time to play. There was no loadshedding today either. So practically no chance to have a real game of badminton (getting muscles pulled couldn't diminish my game playing spirits). As i couldn't play the real way, i played it with texts. Sent so many texts to my mates and got so many back that it did seem like badminton (or Tennis, as i call this vigorous exchange between two ends at times). The frequency of sending and recieving texts was also like a series of continuous shots from the rackets that prevent a shuttlecock from falling to the ground.

I didn't even quit during dinner. ;-) My father should his displeasure but that didn't stop me either. What i did to provide peace and quite at the table was to make my phone silent. ;-) hehe As they say, where there is a will there a way. I enjoyed the 'text' badminton but it cost me a fortune. Well did cost me a few Pak rupee tenners but i guess what i did was worth it. At the end of it all, success embraced me as i had finalised a 'seemingly impossible' get together with my pals. ;-)

Badminton Badminton

Today I played lots of badminton. Despite the fact that after a game of even 5 minutes I start sweating profusely, I did not resist the temptation. We, the girls in the office, had a small game in the morning during the load-shedding. But the game in the evening was more fun. We had more time, more space and less random spectators. The windy weather was bugging us a bit though. Every now and then the wind would snatch our shuttle cock against our wishes but we coped. Played a lot and had fun too.

I am now having more fun with a muscle pulled here and a tendon pulled there. ;-) I guess I played too passionately and vigorously after a very long break of such physical activities. Or maybe at the advent of my 30s, I really have grown too ‘old’ for badminton. ;-)

Do you 'Knol'?

Well i don't know if you do it or not but soon i will be 'Knol-ing'. I am still not sure what it is. What i have gathered so far is that it is something like a blog but allows one to write articles on different subjects. If one allows then all logged in users can edit that article (sounds like wikipedia). I just created my account today. Will keep you posted as i go along and do actually 'Knol'. Meanwhile, if you wanna give it a try, do it by all means by going to the following URL and creating your account:

If you are a gmail user, i think it will allow you to sign in with that id instantly. But you will have to give it a try to see. Do share your findings with me too. :-)

Senior PuzzleBee in PuzzleBee

Oh i just turned into a Senior PuzzleBee on PuzzleBee. The word 'senior' making me think i have turned into a senior citizen, which is not good to think at this age i guess :-D But otherwise i am thrilled. I think i completed the journey from being Capital B to Senior PuzzleBee very quickly. I guess i am just one dedicated bee, sweating my way up the ladder to Queenhood. ;-)

To Blog or To Tweet

With just a few minutes left before the load-shedding I had a strong urge to write and publish something. The choice was tough. I could either blog or tweet. I chose to blog. So here I am writing gibberish just because of my silly urge. ;-) hehe

"nayatel.pk" Rules Today

Out of 11 hits on my blog today, 9 are from people with nayatel.pk as the ISP. I wonder what is going on. Either my pal A is looking at my blog more (which i don't think is the case) or the fame of my writings has spread like wildfire (actually, i don't believe this either). ;-) hehe

Hope to unravel the mystery soon.

Note: Nobody should think that i am minding so many hits from nayatel.pk on my blog. I am actually thrilled and happy. Keep it up gals and guys! :-D

Shrunken Words

I was writing some stuff for my "other" blog (that has yet to make a debut) with a pencil on paper. I wrote many pages, maybe 7-8 pages of a drafting pad. And when i typed those out, those were merely 3 pages. :'( Seemed my words had shrunk. Maybe i have forgotten the that the "length" of handwritten text is always greater than typed text. Those shrunken words did lower my spirits a bit. But i still managed to 'break' that text into material enough for at least 5 posts. Yuppie! How clever of me! ;-)
